My Motion Graphic Animation

(MISHISTRY)Edited on Adobe After Effects

For my animated personal brand project, I created a 12 seconds motion graphic using Adobe After Effects to bring my logo to life. The animation starts with the letter “M” scaling up from a small size while rotating twice (2×360°), creating an energetic and engaging introduction. I used Easy Ease and motion blur to smooth out the motion and give a professional finish.

The puzzle section of the “M”, initially black, transitions into its original brand colors, representing the idea of design as a process of assembling and solving. This was achieved using fill color keyframes and opacity changes.

Once the puzzle is fully revealed, the text “MISHISTRY” appears through a soft fade-in transitions. Only after the full logo is revealed does the tagline “Where design finds its place” appear, fading in underneath to give weight to the message and provide a thoughtful close.

To enhance the animation, I added sound effects that synchronize with key transitions, such as the rotation, puzzle color reveal, and text appearances. This adds impact, rhythm, and emotional tone to the viewer experience.

My Logo

Logo Analysis

Visual Elements:
  • The bold ‘M’ instantly commands attention.
  • The puzzle piece cutouts and additions are very symbolic and this suggests creativity, problem-solving, strategic thinking, and uniqueness.
  • The name 'MISHISTRY' running vertically adds visual interest and modern appeal.

Color Palette:
  • A neutral tan background balances the dark and warm tones of the logo.
  • The use of black suggests professionalism and sophistication.
  • The yellow-gold and bronze tones evoke creativity, warmth, and confidence.

Typography:

  • The bold sans-serif typeface used in 'MISHISTRY' is modern and legible, giving off a confident, clean feel.
  • The vertical text placement is unconventional, making the design stand out while retaining structure.

Conceptual Strength:
  • The puzzle metaphor is powerful because it subtly communicates that my creative identity is built piece by piece, custom, thoughtful, and strategic.
  • The name 'MISHISTRY' feels personal, because it is a mix of my name and the word “chemistry” and “mastery" which creates a strong brand name.

Finalize Logo

My Logo (finalize)

The reason I added the puzzle pieces was because I wanted to design something that represents how design helps people fit ideas together. The puzzle shape become the perfect metaphor. Each client, each project, is a piece and as a designer, I will help to bring those pieces into place. My personal brand identity centers around the concept of connection, creativity, and individuality, which are the qualities I believe are essential in the world of graphic design. The logo I design features a bold, capitalized 'M' that not only represents my name but also anchors the visual identity with strength and clarity. Within the 'M', I have integrated puzzle piece elements to symbolize problem solving, strategic thinking, and the ability to bring different ideas together to form a cohesive whole key aspects of my design philosophy.

The use of black as the primary color establishes a strong, professional tone, reflecting confidence and sophistication. To balance this, I incorporated warm earth tones specifically a golden yellow and deep bronze which add warmth, creativity, and approachability to the overall composition. These hues were intentionally chosen to suggest both stability and innovation, striking a balance between reliability and artistic flair.

Typography plays a vital role in conveying my modern and structured approach to design. The name 'MISHISTRY' is presented in a clean, sans-serif font and arranged vertically along the right side of the 'M'. This unconventional placement creates visual intrigue while reinforcing my willingness to think outside traditional norms. The name itself blends a personal identifier with the idea of "chemistry" and "mastery", underscoring the thoughtful, intentional nature of my work.

Overall, my brand identify reflects a designer who is both methodical and imaginative. Through this logo and the broader visual system, I aim to communicate not only my design skills but also my personality which are curious, bold, and always ready to piece together the perfect creative solution.

Second Logo

My Second Logo (sketch and digital)

I change the name from 'MISHA WORKS' to 'MISHISTRY DESIGN' and also decided to change my logo. My second logo, reflects not only my name but also my belief that design is about connection, detaik, and problem solving. I started with hand-drawn sketches to explore different puzzle layouts within the letter 'M'. But I still not satisfied and I add a little bit of puzzle in the next logo.

First Logo

My First Logo (sketch and digital)

My very first logo design before I create a new name which is 'MISHISTRY DESIGN' was 'MISHA WORKS'. I believe that every designer starts somewhere, and this was my beginning. The first logo was more than just lines, because it was my first attempt at transforming abstract thought into visual form. I began with a hand-drawn sketch on a app called Ibis Paint X. The sharp and angular lines that formed an 'M' and 'W' is the initials of 'MISHA WORKS'.
